Welcome

Welcome to 1st Crookham Scout Group; the largest and most successful group in the Odiham district with three Beaver colonies; three Cub packs and three Scout troops – well over 200 boys and girls taking part each week supported by nearly 100 volunteers giving their time.

We are currently raising money to fund the much needed rebuild of our group HQ building  in Basingbourne Woods, Church Crookham, Fleet. The current buildings are approaching 60 years old, are dilapidated with eroding concrete, failing wiring, damp, poor heating and inefficient use of space. Most importantly the roofs are asbestos sheeting which must be replaced. Our aim is to provide a modern facility to support Scouting in Church Crookham for at least the next 30 years. Please help us with our fundraising. All donations will be very gratefully received.

The Aim of Scouting

The aim of Scouting is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

The Scout Method of achieving the Aim of the Association is by providing an enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on the Scout Promise and Law, and guided by adult leadership.

We believe that young people develop most when they are ‘learning by doing’, when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves. We are sure your child will spend many happy hours enjoying the activities Scouting has to offer.

The Scout Association’s 2017 Impact Report confirms it! – Scouting changes lives and strengthens communities. Take a look at these brilliant findings:
